Chester Road in Easttown Township will be closed to regular traffic between S. Fairfield Road and S. Waterloo Road on Monday, February 2, and Tuesday, February 3, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., as sewer lining work resumes in the area. The closure is scheduled to allow contractor Mr. Rehab to complete trenchless repairs on the sewer system.

The township has stated that all work is weather permitting but is currently planned based on existing forecasts. Carroll Engineering, serving as Township Engineer, will have an inspector present during the project.

According to township officials, “Chester Road will be closed between S. Fairfield Road and S. Waterloo Road to regular traffic – resident/local traffic will have access, as needed; and per the PennDOT-approved traffic plan, one lane on S. Waterloo Road will be closed at the Chester Road intersection.”

All repairs involve trenchless lining methods designed to minimize disruption. Residents whose homes are connected to affected sections of sewer will receive notifications from the on-site inspector when their section is being lined and are asked to limit water usage during that time. All lateral connections are expected to be reinstated once each day’s liner work is cured.
