Whitetail Disposal is delivering new trash and recycling carts to residents this week. The initiative comes ahead of the start of fully-automated trash and recycling collection across Easttown Township, which will begin on Monday, October 6. Both curbside and rear yard pickups are included in the updated service.

Residents are required to follow specific guidelines for cart placement to ensure proper collection. All trash and recycling must be placed inside the designated cart, as the automated trucks cannot collect loose items or anything outside of the provided bins. Loose items will be treated as bulk waste and require separate scheduling for pickup.

Carts should be set out curbside the night before scheduled collection days. Each cart must be at least three feet away from objects such as another cart, mailboxes, vehicles, or landscaping features. Bins need to face forward with lids opening toward the street and wheels against the curb or facing the house.

Republic Services will handle the removal of their old recycling cans on residents’ last scheduled collection day starting Thursday. For example, if a resident’s usual Republic collection is on Friday, Republic will collect both recyclables and then return later that same day to retrieve their can.

For questions about these changes or other transition details, residents can contact Easttown Township at 610-687-3000 or by email at easttown@easttown.org.
