Easttown Township has announced a snow emergency in effect from Sunday into Monday. Residents are being asked to remove vehicles from roadways by Saturday night, January 24, to allow township plow trucks to clear the streets efficiently.
The township is requesting that those with off-street parking use it to help neighbors and first responders. For residents without off-street parking, the township advises parking as close to the edge of the road as possible.
Residents are encouraged to review the township ordinance regarding vehicle removal during snowstorms at https://ecode360.com/15302646.
The township stated, “We’ll continue to share updates on road conditions and any closures during and after the storm.”
Additionally, officials advise residents not to drive during the storm unless necessary and to stay off roads until they have been cleared. The statement adds, “And as always, if you don’t have to drive during the storm, do your best to stay off the roads until the storm passes and streets are plowed.”
