On Friday, Feb. 14, former Phoenixville Area High School standout Avery Schwartz’s current college team, the Villanova Wildcats, won 10-6 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Rice Owls.

The game took place at Estadio Francisco Montaner. This was their first matchup against the Owls this season.

The Wildcats’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 15 at 7 p.m. at Estadio Francisco Montaner against Virginia Cavaliers.
