City of Chester Partners with Delaware County Council, Chester County Health Department to Host Free COVID-19 Testing for Community

The Chester City Health Board will collaborate with several local agencies to facilitate a six-hour COVID-19 testing event on June 27.

Chester City Council is pleased to announce a new partnership that will bring the Chester City Health Board, Delaware County Council and the Chester County Health Department together to host a COVID-19 testing event for the community on Saturday, June 27, 2020 from 10am – 4pm at Chester City Hall.

Several other agencies, including Keystone First, the Chester Housing Authority, Silvercare Skilled Nursing LLC, the Consortium of Nurses, Lewis M. Hunt Irving Funeral Home, Penn Home Health Care, ChesPenn and Widener University have also offered support to ensure the event’s success.

While the event will be of no cost to the public, any person who has health insurance should bring their insurance card. Any person 18 and older concerned about COVID-19 exposure is welcome to be tested.

The event will feature drive-thru and walk-up testing options.

Attendees who arrive to the site for testing on foot should adhere to social distancing guidelines.  Everyone attending should wear a mask.
