Widener University issued the following announcement.
Lindsay Friedman wanted a graduate program that was flexible with her schedule and applicable to her work as a nutrition program director.
She got both at Widener.
In only one year, and with a hybrid format, Friedman earned a master’s in organizational development and leadership – a degree that gave her the skills to succeed now and in the future.
“I feel like I have this new confidence about my job duties and my leadership and organizational development skills,” she said. “I am working in my first position as a director overseeing employees and programmatic changes. Widener offered a good opportunity for me to gain the background to succeed in this position.”
More and more professionals, like Friedman, are turning to Widener for an array of new and existing graduate programs and flexible certificates under the newly named Center for Graduate and Continuing Studies and the College of Health and Human Services.
“This is a really exciting time to enroll at Widener University,” said Vice Provost for Academic Affairs and Strategy Kim O’Halloran. “We have several new programs that offer flexible course schedules, including part-time or full-time, evening or weekend, in-person or online. These programs prepare students for rapid career growth in evolving and growing fields.”
