CITY OF CHESTER: Mayor Thaddeus Kirkland to Appoint New Police Commissioner during Council Meeting

City of Chester issued the following announcement.

During the city of Chester’s regularly scheduled Council Meeting on Wednesday, October 14, Mayor Thaddeus Kirkland will announce the appointment of a new police commissioner. 

The new police commissioner will immediately be sworn-into office after mayor and council approve the appointment by way of resolution during the meeting.

While the meeting is closed to the public to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19, the City will stream the meeting live on its Facebook page.

Members of the media are invited to cover the appointment/swearing-in of the new commissioner.
