CITY OF CHESTER: Chester City Deliberative & Council Meetings Move to Zoom, Will Stream on Facebook Live for Rest of 2020

City of Chester issued the following announcement.

Chester City Councilmembers will conduct the city’s regularly scheduled Deliberative and Council Meetings via Zoom for the remainder of the 2020 year.  The meetings will continue to be streamed live on Facebook. 

The city of Chester is scheduled to hold four Deliberative and four Council Meetings to complete the year. The four scheduled Deliberative Meeting dates have changed and will now take place on the same day that corresponds with the Wednesday Council Meetings. 

Meeting times/changes are listed below:  

Wednesday – November 25, 2020:

Deliberative Meeting (10am)

Council Meeting (approximately 10:30am)

Wednesday – December 9, 2020:

Deliberative Meeting (7:00pm)

Council Meeting (approximately 7:30pm)

Wednesday – December 16, 2020:

Deliberative Meeting (10am)

Council Meeting (approximately 10:30am)

Wednesday – December 23, 2020:

Deliberative Meeting (10am)

Council Meeting (approximately 10:30am)

The Deliberative/Council Meetings’ agendas for November 25 will be posted to the City’s website and Facebook page on Tuesday, November 24. The Deliberative/Council Meetings’ agendas for December 9 will be posted to the City’s website and Facebook page on Tuesday, December 8. The Deliberative/Council Meetings’ agendas for December 16 will be posted to the City’s website and Facebook page on Tuesday, December 15. The Deliberative/Council Meetings’ agendas for December 23 will be posted to the City’s website and Facebook page on Tuesday, December 22.

Residents or taxpayers of the city of Chester who wish to provide a public comment for the November 25, December 16 or December 23 meetings can submit their comment via email starting the Thursday before each meeting, until 9:45am on the meeting date. Comments for the December 9 meeting will be accepted until 6:45pm on the meeting date.

Any person submitting a public comment must include the same information that is requested at a public meeting.  This information includes a person’s name and address.

In the subject line of the email, please include:

Public Comment Submission for (insert meeting date) Council Meeting 

All public comments will be read into record during the meetings.  Chester City Councilmembers will offer a response to these comments, if warranted.

If a public comment is received without the requested information or if the comment is deemed inappropriate, it will not be read into record or accepted as an official submission.
