Tredyffrin recently issued the following announcement.
Trumbull Corporation has been contracted by the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission to complete the Roadway and Bridge Reconstruction from MP 324.65 to MP 326.18, Chester & Montgomery Counties, Contract T-324.00T001-3-02. This letter is being directed to your attention in order to properly inform you of the upcoming construction operations and traffic restrictions. This project will extend from just West of the Valley Forge Road overpass continuing approximately 3.3 miles to just West of the Allendale Road overpass.
Traffic restrictions on 1-76 PA Turnpike will begin on September 27, 2021 and will continue through May 2025. Two lanes of traffic in each direction will be maintained during peak hours with nightly single lane and shoulder restrictions occurring.
Thomas Road, which takes traffic under the PA Turnpike 1-76 in Tredyffrin Township, will be closed at times as part of this project. Traffic will be detoured around the work area via Gulph, Glenhardie and Walker Roads. A separate detour notice will be distributed at least 2 weeks prior to any Thomas Road closures and will provide additional information regarding the detour.
Both Thomas and Glenhardie Roads will be restricted to a single lane pattern operated by a traffic signal for portions of the overhead turnpike bridge demolition and reconstruction.
