Ronnie Park Neighborhood Stormwater Update

Genbusiness002

Willistown issued the following announcement on Mar. 25.

Dear Ronnie Park Residents,

Winter is finally over, and Spring is here! Luckily we experienced a dry winter. As promised, we wanted to update you on current and future plans for stormwater remediation in Ronnie Park. The Township has engaged Carroll Engineering to handle stormwater mitigation planning and implementation efforts.

First, Carroll Engineering is in the process of finalizing a short-term plan for mitigation efforts. This is an immediate action plan that will be implemented in late Spring/Early Summer. More information will be released when the plan is finished and will be the subject of a public meeting to share the plan with you.

Next, Carroll Engineering has completed a long-term solution for stormwater mitigation efforts. The project cost is 2.4 million dollars and will create a stormwater management system to collect and divert stormwater from homes subject to flooding. The Township has completed a grant application to FEMA to cover the funding. Stay tuned…

Lastly, the Township has engaged Pennoni Associates to create a Township-wide comprehensive stormwater plan to identify and plan for future mitigation efforts.

We will send you more information as it becomes available!

 Thank you,

Willistown Township Board of Supervisors
